Welcome to the Fairy Forest, another place which frequently crops up in our stories and letters.

If you are looking for further ideas for what to tell your children about this magical part of Fairyland, we suggest the following:

The Fairy Forest is full of all sorts of magical folk - some kind and good, some not so good! The same goes for the trees. It's a very difficult forest not to get lost in, because even though you never see it happen, trees and bushes and brambles seem to move around and cover up the pathways at will. There are also many fairy rings of toadstools - which you have to be very careful not to step into the middle of.

Fortunately though, there are some very friendly folk living in the wood and a very wize old owl called Moothoot, who has advice to give about everything and likes nothing better than to talk and discuss things all night.

There are many fairies, gnomes and pixies in the forest. You should be able to see a picture of some of the pixies relaxing below.

The fairies of the forest tend to live in little toadstools. If you'd like to print out a colouring page of a fairy toadstool house, simply click on the picture.
