Welcome to the Story Stream!

Far inland, miles from the sea, the biggest river in Fairyland forks and rushes into a secret valley where it becomes the Story Stream. There, on a little patch of sand beneath the high river bank, magical folk of all kinds gather around small fires under the light of the moon to swap news and listen to stories.

At the Story Stream, all sorts of folk tell stories, it depends who's travelling through. Sometimes elves, sometimes fairies, sometimes even dragons and ghosts.  Some stories answer questions, some are just gossip and news about different places people in Fairyland.

We have written a few down for you and there's a picture of who told it beside each one. Click on the pictures of the storytellers opposite to read them yourself!  If you like one of them we suggest you print it out to read to your child.

The stories below can also be listened to, as long as your computer will play MP3 files.

If listening to our stories, please allow a good couple of minutes for them to download!
