Welcome to the Tricksydrift Mountains!
The Tricksydrift Mountains appear in a great many of our Father Christmas letters. At the top of each letter, you can always see the edges of these mountains behind the picture of Father Christmas's House.
For those children who want to know more, you can tell them that the Tricksydrift Mountains are in the far north of Fairyland. They stretch way up to the North Pole and on the other side of them is Father Christmas's House.
Many magical creatures live there, including trolls, ice-fairies and even giants. A number of goblins live there too and cause no end of trouble. If they can, they creep down into Father Christmas's Christmas tree fields at the back of his house and steal the fairies from the tops! (I'm afraid that fairy soup is a bit of a delicacy for goblins you see.) But Father Christmas and his elves use lots of magic on the fences of the Christmas tree fields, to keep the goblins out and the fairies safe.
