Welcome to The Magic Marshes! As you will have noticed if you've visited us before, this entire website has been rewritten. Generally speaking, we have tried not to alter things too much because we realise that the majority of our customers were fond of the old site. Consequently, we have maintained much of the visual style but improved naviagtion, to make it easier to find your way around. We hope you find it useful. The Magic Marshes is a rather unusual bit of Fairyland. It is said to be Where goblins gather in the gloom, frogs tell croaky secrets in the bullrushes and leprechauns hide their gold! It's a lonely looking place and it's certainly not pretty - it's cold and damp and nearly always raining. However, that doesn't mean that aren't magical creatures to be found in the marshes, along with a lot of frogs of course! Goblins do like it here and so do witches who are up to no good. It's a great place to hide things too and rumour has it that it's a favourite place for one or two leprechauns to bury their crocks of gold... the constant rainy weather means it's certainly never short of rainbows! A Day In The Life Of... Grumblegut the goblin
What do you do for a living? I'm a goblin. I steal things and trade them, including things you can't see, like secrets. People will pay a lot of money for secrets. What time do you get up and start your day? As soon as the sun goes down. In the morning, what's the first thing you do? Oh, something nasty if I can. If there are any other goblins who are still asleep I creep up and play tricks on them - snipping their hair off is one of my favourites - or squeezing toothpaste into their mouths if they're foolish enough to sleep with them open. What do you do for lunch? Steal something.
When you're not working, what do you do to relax? I go down to my favourite dark swamp where I can sit and hatch up nastly plans to upset all the good people in Fairyland. What time do you go to bed? Just before dawn If you could do any other job instead, what yould it be? I'd like a job as a gremlin - they're better at causing trouble. I did try to get one once, but they said I was too nice!
