Details

What does Father Christmas write about in this letter?

Cracklebone is a dragon who lives in a cave, deep under Christmas House. "The Surprise Visit" is a letter which tells the story of another dragon turning up to visit him.

In order to entertain the visiting dragon, Father Christmas shows him around his magical home.  However, he discovers this was not the wisest plane when the dragon let out a large sneeze and burns up his supply of wrapping paper.

What does the letter actually look like?

Much like the image above, but larger and clearer. Letters are a little bit smaller than A4 in size. They are all full colour and on the back is a decorative, Christmassy design. If you choose to add a personal PS to this letter, it will be done using a beautiful font of Father Christmas's curly handwriting. Upon creating these letters, what Father Christmas wanted was to make them look as magical as possible - and we believe he has done a good job.

  How is the letter packaged?

This letter is gently folded, tied with a ribbon, and placed in a colourful envelope bearing your child's name. The whole thing is then placed in a plain envelope for posting, addressed to a parent or guardian. This is so that if there are small eyes around when it arrives - it looks like an ordinary piece of mail. Tip: We suggest that you leave your child's before Christmas letter somewhere around your house for him or her to find. There's nothing like the look on a child's face when they think a letter has magically appeared!

Anything else it might be useful to know?

Yes. This letter reminds a child to write his or her Christmas list. This means that if your child has already written a Christmas list and asks about it, you may have to say something along the lines of, "Well, I'm sure Father Christmas has got your list safely. But I expect he wrote this letter just before it arrived."
