Details

What does Father Christmas write about in this letter?

"Father Christmas and the Flying Carpet" is 3 page letter to open on Christmas Morning.  It is a truly magical gift for any child and a very convincing read!

For those of you wanting more detail, the letter starts like this:

"I am in the middle of my trip around the world delivering presents and I thought I'd take a little break at your house to warm myelf up and write you a letter.  It has been a difficult journey from the North Pole this year and my reindeer are already very tired.  They're having a rest right now on your roof, all except Rudolf, who is still on his way here.  I expect you are wondering why he isn't with us, so I'll try and explain..."

As you can tell from the extract above, Rudolf has been off having an adventure of his own this Christmas Eve - and Father Christmas is about to tell your child all about it.

The story that takes Father Christmas and his sleigh far away into warmer parts of the world - where a genie on a flying carpet accidentally bumps into Rudolf and gets knocked out of the air!  The genie is most upset as he is in the middle of a flying carpet race, which he takes part in every year but always loses, so Father Christmas and Rudolf devise away to help him win.

As well as being full of Father Christmas magic, this letter is a good choice for all Rudolf fans.

For whom sholud I buy this letter?

You can buy it for any child - boy or girl.  (Some people even buy it for grown-ups!)   You might like to know that we often find parents like to choose our 3 page Santa letters to share between more than one child, so that the eldest can read it to the little one.

Anything else it might be useful to know?

Yes, this letter assumes that your child is asleep in his or her own house on Christmas Eve.   Also, like all Rooftop Post letters, this one is signed "Father Christmas" rather than Santa Claus.

What does the letter actually look like?

This letter comprises of three full colour pages.  They are a little bit smaller than A4.  The backs of them are covered with a decorative, Christmassy design.  The higgledy piggledy handwriting is quite a bit smaller than in some of our other letters, as Father Christmas has tried to fit a lot of detail in!  If you choose to add a personal PS to this letter, it will be done using a beautiful font of Father Christmas's curly handwriting. Upon creating these letters, what Father Christmas wanted was to make them look as magical as possible - and we believe he has done a good job.

  How is the letter packaged?

All three pages of this letter are gently folded, tied with a ribbon, and placed in a colourful envelope bearing your child's name.  The whole thing is then placed in a plain envelope for posting, addressed to a parent or guardian.  This is so that if there are small eyes around when it arrives - it looks like an ordinary piece of mail.
