Description3 Page Christmas Morning Letter: Father Christmas and the Flying Carpet
What does Father Christmas write about in this letter?
“Father Christmas and the Flying Carpet” is three page letter to open on Christmas Morning. It is a truly magical gift for any child and a convincing read.
For those of you wanting more detail, the letter starts like this:
“I am in the middle of my trip around the world delivering presents and I thought I’d take a little break at your house to warm myelf up and write you a letter. It has been a difficult journey from the North Pole this year and my reindeer are already very tired. They’re having a rest right now on your roof, all except Rudolf, who is still on his way here. I expect you are wondering why he isn’t with us, so I’ll try and explain…”
As you can tell from the extract above, Rudolf has been off having an adventure of his own this Christmas Eve – and Father Christmas is about to tell your child all about it.
The story takes Father Christmas and his sleigh far away into warmer parts of the world, where a genie on a flying carpet accidently bumps into Rudolf and gets knocked out of the air! The genie is most upset as he is in the middle of a flying carpet race, which he takes part in every year but always loses, so Father Christmas and Rudolf devise away to help him win.
As well as being full of Father Christmas magic, this letter is a good choice for all Rudolf fans.
What else would it be useful to know?
This letter assumes that your child is asleep in his or her own house on Christmas Eve.
It’s suitable for any child – boy or girl.
We often find parents like to choose our three page letters to share between more than one child, so that the eldest can read it to the little one.
What’s all this about adding a P.S.?
If you like, you can add a short P. S. to this letter. It’s your chance to play Santa!
Customers usually add something personal which is just for that child. Some examples from other parents are: “Well done for that brilliant story you wrote for your teacher. You’re so good with words – it’s quite a talent!” or “Give your brother a hug from me and tell your cat my reindeer are looking forward to a chat with him on Christmas Eve!” You get the idea.
We will place the P. S. on the bottom of the letter, using a font of Father Christmas’s curly handwriting. Please note that while we try our best to be vigilant, we cannot guarantee that we will spot any typos or spelling errors you may make.
Adding your own P.S. is entirely optional – the letters look just as pretty without.
We do not charge extra for this service.
How is the letter packaged?
This letter is gently folded, tied with a ribbon, and placed in a colourful envelope bearing your child’s name. The whole thing is then placed in a plain envelope for posting, addressed to a parent or guardian. This is so that if there are small eyes around when it arrives – it looks like an ordinary piece of mail. Tip: We suggest that you leave your child’s before Christmas letter somewhere around your house for him or her to find. There’s nothing like the look on a child’s face when they think a letter has magically appeared!
