A lovely letter for any child who likes reindeer.  Lots of magical detail about their stables, not to mention a bit of excitement half way through, when Father Christmas realises he’s one reindeer short! Great for girls and boys, this is a wonderful window into Father Christmas’s world and one of the Rooftop Post team’s favourites.

Before Christmas Letter: Inside the Reindeer Stables

What does Father Christmas write about in this letter?

Has your little one ever wanted to find out a bit more about the reindeer? Then this is the letter for you. Father Christmas writes it from inside the stables at the bottom of his garden, surrounded by snoozing reindeer. It’s a magical place, making this letter full of enchanting details, a real window into the wider Father Christmas world.

As if all that weren’t enough, this letter gets exciting when half way through it, Father Christmas realizes that one of his reindeer isn’t there. He should be fast asleep with the others… Where is he? Luckily, by the end of the letter, he’s back safe and sound.

What else would it be useful to know?

Nothing in particular. This letter is a good all-rounder, a lovely choice for any child.

If you’re adding a P. S. you might find it useful to know that the last lines of the letter read as follows, so that you don’t end up accidentally repeating them: “Have a wonderful Christmas, won’t you? I hope you’ve enjoyed this letter and I can’t wait to drop off your gifts.”

What’s all this about adding a P.S.?

If you like, you can add a short P. S. to this letter. It’s your chance to play Santa!

Customers usually add something personal which is just for that child. Some examples from other parents are: “Well done for that brilliant story you wrote for your teacher. You’re so good with words – it’s quite a talent!” or “Give your brother a hug from me and tell your cat my reindeer are looking forward to a chat with him on Christmas Eve!” You get the idea.

We will place the P. S. on the bottom of the letter, using a font of Father Christmas’s curly handwriting. Please note that while we try our best to be vigilant, we cannot guarantee that we will spot any typos or spelling errors you may make.

Adding your own P.S. is entirely optional – the letters look just as pretty without.

We do not charge extra for this service.

How is the letter packaged?

Each letter is sprinkled with a tiny pinch of glitter and sprinkles, gently folded, tied with a ribbon and placed in a colourful envelope bearing your child’s name.  The whole thing is then placed in a plain envelope for posting, addressed to a parent or guardian. This is so that if there are small eyes around when it arrives – it looks like an ordinary piece of mail. Tip: We suggest that you leave your child’s before Christmas letter somewhere around your house for him or her to find. There’s nothing like the look on a child’s face when they think a letter has magically appeared!

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is free within the UK. Recorded delivery is available for an extra charge. Delivery costs to other countries are variable, depending on the weight of your order and where you live. You will be able to see any shipping charges in your cart before you pay.

This arrived quickly and as far as I am concerned is far better than I thought it would be – it’s beautiful. I’ve had several other Santa letters in the past and I honestly wish I’d found these earlier. I chose this reindeer-themed one on a whim and I’m knocked out by the little story and pictures, they make me want to believe again myself. I can’t wait to see my daughter’s face when she opens it.
