Christmas Creations

Have a Creative Christmas!

One of the wonderful things about Christmas is that it’s the one time of the year when all sorts of people take to indulging in a bit of creativity. We cook, wrap presents, write cards and tags, decorate our homes, and much, much more. The great thing about all of it is that although organising Christmas can be stressful, the actual creative aspects are usually relaxing and give us a sense of achievement – not to mention the fun you can have creating with the kids!

So with this in mind, we’ve put together a few creative resources for the things families tell us they like to do around Christmas:

For Anyone Wondering, Here’s a Bit More Info About Christmas…

What is Christmas?

Christmas is a celebration which falls on the 25th of December every year. Although it has long been a Christian festival marking the birthday of Jesus, these days it means many different things to many different people. In many parts of the world, it has become something of an all-inclusive cultural festival, enjoyed by people across the board. Christmas also has links to the winter solstice, an ancient time of feasting and celebration.

What Does it Mean to the Rooftop Post Team?

In the UK, where Rooftop Post is based, Christmas and the days surrounding it are commonly thought of as an enchanting and imaginative time, particularly for children. Our work focuses entirely on those aspects of Christmas that are related to kids. Traditionally, there are many beloved Christmas characters that families make use of to entertain their little ones.  Father Christmas and his elves, Rudolph the Reindeer and Jack Frost are but a few.

Merry Christmas from the Rooftop Post Team!Obviously, being in the Christmas letter business, Christmas in our house means we’re busy busy busy!

As you’ve no doubt realised if you are a regular visitor, we are a non-religious business, but like most of the Christmas-celebrating world, we do think Christmas is a great excuse to remember how important it is to be kind.  After all, the world is shrinking fast and we’re all in touch more often than we could ever imagine – which of course, is why you’re here, reading this.  So have a merry, magical Christmas dear reader… and may many good things befall you this Yuletide and throughout the coming year.

Oh, and a special merry Christmas to all the artists who have helped create our free printables! Thank you x
